Born in 1985, Ahmet Can is a journalism graduate. He pursued his post-graduate studies in informatics and technology law. Starting his career in journalism in 2010 and focusing mostly on technology news, Can was granted the Economy Award of the Year by the Association of Turkish Journalists (TGC) for his article titled “GSM numaranız elimizde” (We have your mobile number). He signed off more than 120 episodes of “Teknoloji Her Yerde”, a show broadcast on CNN TURK every Saturday. He founded ACS Media, his own media and production company. He continues his career as the producer and speaker of “Tekno Hayat” on NTV.
Alper Kanca was born in 1963 at Trabzon, Sürmene. Kanca grew up in İstanbul, Bakırköy. Kanca completed his secondary and high school education at Çavuşoğlu College, Istanbul. After having gradueted from the business department of Vienna University of Economics and Business, Alper Kanca served for their family company called Kanca Dövme Çelik A.Ş. in different positions between 1991 – 2007.Following this he was assigned as the General Director and the Vice Chairman of the company in 2008. Alper Kanca, who is the Chairman of TAYSAD since March 2016,is keen on the demands and the coordination of the sector. Having served on the Board of Directors of European Committee Of Forging And Stamping Industries(EUROFORGE) for 12 years, Kanca has also been serving as the chariman of the union for about 5 years. Alongside with his roles in Forgers Association (DÖVSADER), Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) and his council membership on Automotive Professionals Committee, Kanca also participates in Organized Industrial Site of Taysad (TOSB).
Baran Çelik, Mechanical Engineer M.Sc., was born in 1977 in Bursa. Receiving his Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees from Uludağ University Department of Mechanical Engineering, Çelik started his career in 2000 as a Board Member of Beyçelik Holding A.Ş. Continuing his duties as Deputy Chair of the Board and CEO, Baran Çelik also serves as the Chair of the Board for Beyçelik Gestamp, the flagship company of the Holding. An Accounting Member of the Board of OİB and a member of TÜSİAD, Baran Çelik is married with three children.
After receiving a Master in Mechanical Engineering from one leading French Engineering University, “Ecole Centrale Nantes”, Mr. Lambert obtained a MBA in the Sorbonne University, Paris. He founded MOV Automotive to create the next generation of electric vehicles. In the previous 2 years, Mr. Lambert was the Global President of Borgward Automotive Group following its acquisition by UCAR.
As the first company integrating mobility services and car manufacturing, he developed a new differentiation strategy combining innovations in business model, products and services with a core of new electric vehicles. He relocated to China in January 2011 when assigned to the position of General Manager for Magna Steyr China Engineering and led this division through a period of outstanding growth (600% in 4 years) to becoming the biggest Automotive Engineering Services Provider in China. His long senior management experience in Magna Steyr and his previous strategic collaborations with global and Chinese OEM’s and new EV start-ups, gave him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in automotive best practices, from product planning to manufacturing strategy.
Completing his education in Turkey at Bilkent University, Çağrı Selçuklu graduated from an Automotive Design Master Program in Italy through a Koç Foundation scholarship. Upon his graduation, Selçuklu worked at FIAT Torino and TOFAŞ Bursa. He continued his career at Hexagon Stuido as the Design Department Manager. Also serving as Turkey Regional Manager for ‘Interaction Design Foundation’, Çağrı Selçuklu was a Mobility Projects Manager at Farplas before establishing DUCKT with his partners. Working constantly on mobility projects throughout his 16-year career in automotive, for the last year Çağrı Selçuklu has been focusing on new infrastructure standards to be established by DUCKT in cities of the future. Born and raised in Konya, he is married with two children.
Pursuing a career in automotive journalism for almost 20 years, Doğan Kabak served as the Editor for magazines such as EVO and Autocar and published BBC’s TopGear magazine in Turkey for 3 years. Doğan Kabak also has a Youtube channel with 1.5 million subscribers, where for the last three years he has been sharing with his audience cars which he finds unique and new models which he tests and examines throughout the world. The channel ranks among the Top 10 Automotive Youtube Channels with the most subscribers and continues to put out content.
Haydar Yenigün graduated from Yıldız Technical University in Mechanical Engineering and joined Ford Otosan in 1987. In the same year he joined Ford Otosan and served in different positions until 1990 on the departmant of production. He became Project Leader in 1998. He participated in the production process of commercial vehicles design and production processes to be built in the plant. He worked as Body Construction Area Manager in the Kocaeli Plant between 1999 and 2007, and served as Kocaeli Plant Manager and Assistant General Manager from 2007 to 2012. He wasa ppointed as Ford Otosan General Manager and became a Member of the Board of Directors on 15 February 2012. He is currently Chairman of the Automotive ManufacturersAssociation since 2018 (OSD) In 2020, he became a board member of European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) Board of Directors.
YASED Trade Committe Member, Advisor to AmCham and ARYA Women Investment Platform Member, İdil Özdoğan brings expertise at the nexus between private and public sector, working for top organizations’ management consulting and think & do tanks. She is a graduate of Başkent University Department of Business Administration and holds post-graduate degrees in Finance and Law and Economics. İdil Özdoğan has worked with numerous national and international organizations and agencies and designed and executed projects and programs and contributed to the capability and capacity enhancement of manufacturing, services and agribusiness in Turkey and abroad.
Mehmet ARZİMAN oversees all of the working areas and is responsible for the vision, targets and strategic direction of home-iX, one of the business partners of the TOGG project. He has experience in the fields of Smart Houses and Connectivity. He has served as Project Manager for strategic Mobility and Connectivity projects for several years at FleetBoard, moovel and Mercedes me (Daimler AG), along with Porsche Connect & E-Mobility (Porsche AG). As a former Innovations Manager, he brings together his skills in cloud computing and digital services with visionary ideas.
Orkun Oguz graduated from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and has an MBA from University of Georgia. Orkun Oguz is the co-founder and the CEO of CY Vision Inc, a Silicon Valley startup developing computational holographic technology to power up the next generation Augmented Reality Head-Up Displays (AR-HUD). Prior to CY Vision, Orkun was the Chief Digital Officer of Akbank one of the largest private banks in Turkey responsible for direct channels. Prior to Akbank he was the co-founder of Peppers & Rogers Group, a consulting firm based in Connecticut leveraging advanced data analysis techniques and AI to drive customer insight for its clients. After growing the operations to more than 10 countries, Orkun and his partners successfully sold the company and exited in 2012.
He graduated from Boğaziçi University Mechanical Engineering Department in 1982. He earned a master's degree in system analysis from Istanbul Technical University and did a doctorate in business administration at the same university. Ömer Burhanoğlu, who started his business life with Farplas company in 1983, was a crucial actor in making Farplas one of the leading companies in the automotive industry as he broke grounds in the sector with his innovative ideas & practices and made significant breakthrough in a short time. He is currently the CEO and board member in the company.
Serdar Kuzuloğlu entered the media world, which was his childhood dream, in 1995. He informed the society about technology and trends through various platforms such as, newspapers, journals, radio, television and digital platforms. While transferring many sources, in this field, to the internet he also managed these sources. Kuzuloğlu carried out pioneering content projects in the digital agency of which he is a founding partner. He is the founder and one of the instructors of Next Academy, a digital marketing graduate program under Istanbul Bilgi University.Furthermore Kuzuoğlu is an investor in a restaurant chain and a smart retail management system. Kuzuoğlu still continues to produce content and giving speeches within this context.
Seval Öz, on yıldan uzun süredir sürücüsüz araç teknolojilerinin ön saflarında yer almaktadır. Otomotiv endüstrisi liderlerine yönetim kurulu danışmanlığı ve yatırım fonlarına yönelik yatırım danışmanlığı yapmaktadır. Öz’ün araç teknolojisi yazılım programlarına ilişkin 10 adet patenti bulunmaktadır.
Öz, sürücüsüz araçlarda kamera/radar görüntü kaynaştırması üzerine çalışan Silikon Vadisi’ndeki aurima.ai’in kurucu ortağı ve CEO’su olarak görev almıştır. Aurima, Google Alphabet’in yapay zekâ odaklı fonu Gradient Ventures tarafından finanse edilmiştir.
Öz, Aurima’daki görevinden önce otomotiv devi Continental AG’nin Akıllı Taşımacılık Sistemi biriminin (Continental Intelligent Transportation Systems, LLC) CEO’luğunu üstlenmiştir. Öz, burada tüm şirket için açık yığın bulut arka uçlu bilgi işlem mimarisi geliştirmek üzere yazılım mühendisliği ekibini büyütmüştür. Bu girişim, Continental’in mobilite hizmetleri ve dijitalleşme dönüşümünden sorumlu olmuştur.
Öz, ayrıca GoogleX’in sürücüsüz aracının ticari lansmanında kıdemli yönetici olarak ve 2011 yılında Google tarafından satın alınan İnternet arama motoru Cuil’de, kıdemli ortak ve finans ve iş geliştirme başkan yardımcısı olarak görev almıştır.
Öz, liselere yönelik ulusal sağlık eğitimi programı olan HealthCorps®'un ve New York merkezli küresel girişimcilik organizasyonu olan endeavor.org’un Danışma Kurulunda yer almaktadır. New York Halk Kütüphanesi Yönetim Kurulu üyesidir ve Türk Amerikan Derneği Yönetim Kurulunda görev almaktadır.
Öz, Wharton Business School İşletme Yüksek Lisans Programından yüksek şeref derecesiyle mezun olmuştur ve lisans derecesini şeref öğrencisi olarak Wellesley/M.I.T.den almıştır.
Ufuk Sandık started his career as a journalist on 1987 in Dünya. Sandık worked as an editor and columnist on Automotive for 16 years in Hürriyet where he started to work on 1989. Today alongside working for Sabah as an editor and a columnist on Automotive, Sandık is also writing in OtoHaber journal. Sandık is the only Turkish member among the jury committee of “Car of The Year” award which makes him one of the 58 jury members from 22 countries deciding on the Car of the Year in Europe. Furthermore right now he is the chairman of Automotive Journalists Association. Ufuk Sandık introduced shows about automobiles to TV channels in Turkey and created shows about automobiles for various channels such as NTV, Kanal E, CNN Türk, Kanal 1 and Fox TV.
